After working a half day last Thursday, I shopped around in the afternoon with Jen, who was in town for the weekend from Florida. I picked up some party dresses for all the party-attending I had lined up for Fourth of July weekend.

Around 6 p.m., Boyfriend and I hopped on the Metra and headed to Sanch’s place in Lincoln Park to have some drinks before going to a bar. Going out Thursday was a must considering we all had off work on Friday and my other girlfriend, Krista, was in town from Florida! Side note: Yes, two of my best friends moved from Chicago to Fort Lauderdale this year :(, sigh.

We ended up at Schoolyard — an official Illini bar! — and I woke up the next morning with $30 in cash gone and a bar receipt for $48. I am pretty confident I bought a round of Patrón shots. I am positively confident I will not be bringing my debit card to the bars from now on.
