Uggs vs. EMUs

I just got a pair of EMU Australia “Stinger Hi” sheepskin boots in Chocolate as a graduation present. They look exactly like Ugg boots, which are also made in Australia, but which brand is really better?
Pros:
- EMU boots are a little less expensive.
- EMUs have better traction on snow/ice because the sole is better suited as a winter boot (I found this out this morning while walking briskly past people sliding on the sidewalk as a layer of ice covered Champaign).
- EMUs have an Australian sheepskin upper that naturally wicks away moisture and lets your feet breathe.
Cons:
- The “cupped suede leather heel on the inside built for fit and support” actually cut up my heel and made it bleed.
- Google’s content-generated text ads on the bottom of the EMU Web site all say, “Ugg boots sale.”
- Emus are Australia’s largest bird and the second largest bird in the world behind the ostrich, but the fur on the boots is from sheep, which means I can’t even say something cool like the fur on my boots comes from emus which would naturally impress people. Dang.
Bottom line is, you really can’t tell the difference between the two brands unless you’re staring at someone’s heels (oops, I actually do this).

This will haunt my dreams.
